The project consists of the interior renovation of a ground-floor space within a building located in the historic center of Treviso.
The main construction works are minimal and include the demolition of portions of internal walls, the reconstruction of suspended ceilings, and the widening of a secondary rear door. These interventions are followed by the refurbishment of finishes and the design of the interior furnishings.
The design choice, developed in agreement with the client, emphasizes the longitudinal nature of the space: the two parallel counter lines articulate the interior and guide the visitor’s gaze toward two linear perspectives.
The linearity of the environment is further enhanced by the two lighting tracks: each technical element thus becomes an opportunity to reinforce a spatial theme.
A private niche clad in terrazzo-effect porcelain stoneware in anthracite tones, reminiscent of ceppo di Gré stone, conceals the preparation area for sandwiches and toast made with artisanal bread and high-quality ingredients.
The essentiality of the design gestures is paired with a carefully considered selection of materials: a herringbone-patterned thermo-treated oak wooden floor is laid over the existing flooring. The same dark wood is used for the counters. The walls are painted in a Scottish green, echoed in the lacquer finish of the storage cabinets.
Completing these two tones is the preciousness of brass, treated with a manual oxidation process that creates ever-changing chromatic effects, ranging from yellow to red hues.
Brass is used to clad the central columns, in the pleated molding of the counters, in the beer taps, and in other furniture and profile elements. These are complemented by antique-style mirrors and back-painted glass panels featuring an internal bronzed mesh.
The elegant yet relaxed atmosphere creates an intimate space, achieved through the combination of materials, textures, and carefully calibrated lighting—essential components for an immersive experience in the world of craft beer.
