biography
Edoardo Gherardi (born in 1973) graduated in Architecture from the IUAV University of Venice. In 2000, he founded the Gherardi Architetti studio, with offices in Treviso and Castelfranco Veneto, launching a design practice focused on research and multidisciplinarity.
In 2006 and 2007, he ranked third in the Young&Design International Competition in Milan. Since 2012, he has held the position of Art Director of the Battistella Group, contributing to the definition of the group’s design and strategic identity.
The studio operates in numerous fields of architecture and design, including urban planning, architecture, interior design, industrial design and naval design. Over the last decade, it has curated some of the most important art exhibitions in Italy and is currently working on over 80 projects in Switzerland, the East and various international contexts.
Gherardi Architetti conceives the project as a complex entity, the result of the interaction of multiple aspects. Each phase is entrusted to teams of specialised technicians, capable of working in a coordinated manner within a unified process. This approach is applied with the same attention to both small-scale and large-scale projects.
The studio’s work is based on attention to detail, environmental quality and architectural quality, always in dialogue with the landscape, history and social practices of the places in which it operates. This method is supported by the use of the most advanced hardware and software technologies, with the aim of ensuring consistent, innovative results that fully meet the client’s needs.
