An analysis of technical and design efficiency has led to the creation of high-performance buildings, in which the building envelope plays a central role: not merely a boundary surface, but an aesthetic, protective and functional element. This approach has been applied to the kitchen space, giving rise to an advanced building envelope. The 4.1 door, the result of research and experimentation, is conceived as an intelligent, technological skin, with an internal structure of aluminium slats and an external cladding that defines its aesthetic. The ribbed profile along the perimeter characterises its rigorous and minimalist design.
This study has given rise to a kitchen with pure, meticulously designed lines, capable of meeting the demands of simplicity and technology. At the same time, functional accessory elements have been developed, such as Foomo, a freestanding module for appliances featuring open compartments with a backlit panel, and Server, a geometric sideboard available in various configurations and finishes. The project is completed by Sliding, a sliding worktop that makes the kitchen worktop flexible and adaptable.
4.1 is a kitchen design that combines architecture, functionality and aesthetic research into a coherent and contemporary system.
