In Cortina d’Ampezzo, amid iconic landscapes and Alpine traditions, a new residential project by Gherardiarchitetti per l’Ambiente brings together historic materials such as Castellavazzo stone and fir wood from traditional tabià with contemporary design solutions.
Spread over more than 350 sqm overlooking Corso Italia, the two floors offer distinct living concepts: one more metropolitan, the other more Alpine, featuring living areas, kitchen, dining, bedrooms, home office, and wellness spaces. Interiors combine high-quality materials, refined finishes, and industrial design solutions, while the stone staircase and textured surfaces create visual continuity between floors.
The exterior is an integral part of the project as well: large windows become seating, doors reinterpret traditional barn entrances, and reconstructed wood interacts with a glass-and-metal annex housing a gym, while stone is shaped into sculptural urban furnishings.
